DipuNAnuEngagment

  • Engagement ceremony was a merger of both Gujarati and Punjabi cultures. It comprised of Sagai and Sagan ceremonies. The function was attended by family, close relatives and friends from both bride and groom side. It started late morning and extended to a lunch buffet
  • Sagan – Function started with both the families applying applying the traditional tikka and rice to Dipesh and Anubha along with sweets and dried coconut. This was followed by ‘Milni’ of a few close relatives from both sides. Dipesh’s family then presented Anubha with a beautiful orange colored sari and jewelry. Dipesh’s sister-in-law tied a traditional ‘Payal ‘ on Anubha’s ankles. Anubha’s family presented sagan to Dipesh in the form of cloths and jewelry. This was followed by exchange of gifts, sweets, fruits, etc from both the sides.
  • Ring Ceremony – Last but not the least, rings were exchanged between bride and groom amid lot of gaiety.
