Mehendi

Mehendi (Heena) would be applied on brides and grooms hands and feet (only bride) as a symbol of marriage. All the while the relatives and friends will sing mehendi and wedding songs. There will be a provision for friends and family members to apply mehendi on their hands, as it is part of the tradition. For the brides side it would be all the more fun as there will be a Punjabi dhol organized for youngsters to dance. | ||||||||||||||||

The Chuda Ceremony will begin with puja after which the oldest member of the family will put Chuda (Set of cream and red ivory bangles) on to Anubha’s hands. After the Puja everybody present will touch the chuda which symbolizes that they are blessing the bride and wishing her the best. After this the Kaleere (long chains of golden bells) would be tied to the brides bangles. The fun part in this ceremony is, bride moves the tied Kaleere on the heads of unmarried friends and family members, in case a chain falls and touches the head of any of them, it means that person will get married really soon. So if you want to tie the knot really soon, you know where to come. |

Mandap Mahurat

Mandap mahurat ceremony will be performed at grooms house on the day of wedding. Ganesha sthapana takes place, in which prayers are offered to lord Ganesha, WHO is believed to remove all obstacles. A puja is done by the acharya or priest for the blessings of GOD for to be wedded couple. |
